Honors Advisory Board
The Honors Advisory Board provides advice and oversight for the administration of the University Honors Program. The board makes recommendations on admission requirements, program policies, course selection and co-curricular programming. The Honors Advisory Board reviews applications and awards presidential scholarships. Board members help to communicate information regarding the University Honors Program to their colleges and departments.
The Honors Advisory Board is made up of one faculty representative from each of the university colleges and the library appointed by the deans of the colleges and the head of the library, other committee members (e.g. academic advising, admissions) as appointed by the appropriate vice president upon the request of the Honors board, and student representatives appointed by the director of the Honors Program.
Terms of service for faculty members will be three years with the possibility of renewal for a second term and of returning to the committee after a break in service. Terms of service for representatives of student services will be for one year with no limit on the number of terms that may be served. Students may serve for one year with the possibility of renewal for a second term.
